Vinita Nair

The journalist joined ABC News in July 2004, and has been a reporter on a range of issues, including the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, as well as school shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair began working for ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. In her new role she anchors live news coverage as well as news briefs on ABC's network on the internet. Nair served as co-anchor on World News Now, America This Morning as well as ABC's digital network starting on September 17th, 2008 through February 18th 2011. On both shows, she was initially paired alongside Jeremy Hubbard. Later she collaborated with Rob Nelson. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she will not appear on World News Now after Friday 18th February. The same day would also mark her last day working for ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor on KDVR Denver, was her direct successor. The February 18 edition of World News Now paid tribute to Nair throughout its three segments.
